Resources And Benefits
Outreach- Invite kids who don’t normally go to church to join the team.

Trained Coaches- 1st Athletics will train all the coaches and provide a curriculum that includes skill building practice sessions, game sessions, and life lessons.

Memory Verse Challenge- Kids will be challenged to memorize pre-selected verses.  They will also receive a patch to place on their game jersey as an off-field reward.

Awards- Along with the memory verse award, the coaches will give awards for best offense, best defense, team player, and most Christ-like each week after the game.

Practice- Teams will practice one hour a week at a local church.  Coaches will concentrate on soccer skill development and the weekly life lesson.

Weekly Life Lesson- All kids will learn a biblically-based life lesson at practice, which will be reinforced by the memory verse and half-time testimony at the games.

Games- All games will run for one hour and be held at Skyhawks indoor field on Saturdays.  The field provides a neutral, centrally located site where the weather isn’t a factor.

Half-time Activities- There will be a half-time video or live interview entitled, “Q & A with the Coaches.”  This interview will reinforce the life lessons presented at practice and inform the audience about what the kids are learning.  We will also have a time for “Spectator Showdown” where audience members will be selected to play in some fun games to win prizes.

Registration- The registration cost is $70.00 per player and includes:  team jersey, soccer socks, coach’s curriculum, league administration, referees, on-line game schedule, field time at Skyhawks field (8 games guaranteed) and award patches (given out weekly by coaches).

Giving Back- 1st Athletics will give back to partnering churches 10% of all registration fees received from their respective teams.
